Egg Tarts
Ingredients for tarts ( make 24 tarts)
250g Hard butter
100g sugar
1 big egg
500g Plain Flour
Egg filling
400g water
120g sugar
200g fresh milk
6 eggs whisked ,strain
Method
1. Pre heat ovne at 150 degreesC.
2. Cream butter and sugar until pale white and add in eggs.
3. Add in flour slowly and knead well, then place into tart moulds.
4. Pre bake the shells at 180 degrees C for 20 mins until 3/4 cooked. (place in the centre rack of your oven.)
5. Boil water and sugar till boiling. Leave to cool before adding in milk and eggs.
6. Pour filling into tart pastry and bake at centre race at 150 degrees C for 25 mins.
